Heads up before you drive out to Pickering Casino Resort
haha the parking trek is real, went out there last fall and by the time I hit the floor my knees were already complaining. floor itself is nice though, tables and slots well spread out, good layout. but cashing out at the cage felt like a whole second hike, felt like walking to the car twice in one night 😉 old-school grind used to be quicker than that walk.
Been grinding longer than some have played.

I felt super drained by the time I got back to the cage 😩 those long treks really add up after a night of spinning!

Did a session there in the summer and the walk back to the cage hit different at 1am after a losing grind 😭 floor itself is solid, tables paying decent and slots well spaced, no complaints there. Just budget the extra 10 minutes before you cash out or you'll be tempted to leave chips sitting in your pocket overnight.
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.
Funny how the cage is always the farthest point in the building. Good floor, AGCO licence is fine, just bring comfy shoes for the cashout hike.
Hype isn't a payout.
The layout inside is honestly great, nothing cramped, machines spaced so you're not elbowing anyone on a dead spin streak 😭 But yeah I did the cage walk end of night and by the time I got there I'd half talked myself into feeding it back on the way past a slot. Cashing out in time is everything, plan that last trip like it's part of the session 🎰
Cashing out in time is half the battle.
NearMissEnjoyer nailed it, that walk past the slots with cash in hand is dangerous design. I got halfway to the cage once and turned around. Bring a plan, not comfy shoes.
haha Kev, turned around halfway, that's discipline I never had 😄 the one time I walked out of Pickering with a decent stack I made the mistake of taking the scenic route past the slots and, well, let's just say the cage saw a thinner envelope than my pocket did on the drive in. greed's a funny travel companion.
but honest verdict from me, the floor itself is worth the trip. plenty of tables, slots spaced out so you're not breathing down someone's neck on a cold streak, layout is proper. the trek from parking is just something you budget for now, like the weather. I go with the mindset that the night ends at the table, cash the cage first if I'm up, then wander. works most nights anyway. the ones that used to pay taught me one thing, never trust yourself with money in hand and a slot between you and the exit 😉
I remember the old slots first-hand.

@VancouverHQ the hike is real but honestly that walk past the slots is where I've hit big last night, ah well 😅🤑 still worth the trip 🔥💰
