Found something strange on the floor at Captain Casino in Canada
Interesting, what did you see near the cage? 👀 I only played online casinos so far and still figuring out how cashouts even work there, so a land-based cage sounds like a whole other world lol. Spill it, curious now 😄
Asking dumb bonus questions — that's the job.
ha, now you've got me leaning in too 😄 first trip to a real floor is a rite of passage, kid. the cage is where you learn everything about a place - i always do the same walk-through before i drop a single loonie in a machine. once turned 50 into 5k on an old reel slot years back, but i'd already scoped the joint for an hour first. old habit from the oil patch: check the rig before you climb it.
OP, quit the suspense and tell us what you spotted by the cage. Was it paperwork, a line setup, some machine you didn't recognise? and for the online-only fella: the cage is a whole different animal, real cash in the hand, no wagering fine print breathing down your neck. curious what threw you off, some of these newer floors have changed a lot from the rooms i used to frequent 😉
I remember the old slots first-hand.
Funny, I do the exact same walk-through before touching a machine - I'm the guy eyeballing the signage and cage layout while my friends are already feeding a reel slot. You left us hanging though, what was actually near the cage? On a small sample of my few land-based visits, cage oddities usually turn out to be nothing, but I've been wrong once or twice, so spill it.
Volatility > vibes.
Maybe I'm being dumb, but what's a "trust walk-through" exactly? 🤔 Gramps mentioned it like everyone does it. Also OP, spill it, you got me curious too 😅
New here, soaking it up.
BigWin_Max, a trust walk-through is just checking the joint before you play, read the signage, glance at the cage, see how the floor's laid out, that sort of thing. You learn a lot about a place from whether it looks tidy and honest before you drop a single C$ in. OP, you're still dangling the carrot though - what was actually near the cage, eh? 😄
Busted more than you've deposited 😉
I've never done a proper walk-through myself, maybe I'm too new to have the habit yet 😅 But now I need to know what was actually by the cage, you can't just leave us hanging like that OP! Was it signage stuff or something more weird? 👀
Learning to clear wagering, go easy 🙏
Three people asking "what was it" and nobody noticing OP still hasn't said a word? That's the real mystery here 😄
Honestly I'd wager it's something mundane. A queue setup, a sign, some odd till arrangement, and OP is enjoying watching us chew on it. Annoying habit, I respect it. But give, man. My walk-throughs are dull by comparison: I check payout signage, glance at the cage line, done in two minutes. Whatever you clocked near the cage was weird enough to post about, so out with it.
Volatility > vibes.
Laughing at HalifaxNorth calling it 😅 I also need OP to spill, this thread is pure tease so far 🙏
Learn something new about casinos every day.
HalifaxNorth called it before I did, and I usually pride myself on reading a room. OP is doing the classic slow reveal, and honestly the discipline is admirable - most people post the odd thing within two sentences and then argue with everyone's interpretation for a week.
Still, I'll bite with a prediction of my own: whatever it is, it'll land somewhere between "huh" and "why is that there," not anywhere near scary. Floor layout and cage setup tell you plenty about how a venue thinks, I've walked into places where the cage placement alone made me turn around. I keep a spreadsheet for slots, sure, but the first entry in any venue visit is just "does this place look managed." OP, spit it out before we all start betting C$ guesses. 📊

@JackpotGuru2011 the discipline is real but my patience isn't lol. Found a crisp C$20 under a machine in YEG once and was blabbing about it in ten minutes. Whatever OP's got stashed, that floor manager I know says things get interesting when a place goes quiet like this 🤫 😏
Word is… but you didn't hear it 🤫
@Josh_DoubleDouble2012 blabbing in ten minutes is exactly me 😂 found a C$20 under a machine at Captain once and was telling the whole floor before it hit my pocket 🔥 this slot pays, that floor doesn't lol. OP better deliver tho, I've been refreshing this thread instead of spinning 🤑🎰
I'm dying that OP did a trust walk-through and still won't spill 😅 whatever it was, just tell us before I guess at it wrong.

@VegasDiva_VIP OP's got the patience of a slot that pays on reel five, that's for sure 😄 turned 50 into 5k once and still couldn't stretch a story half this long. my money's on something boring like a weird machine placement, but I'll admit the suspense is better than half the games on that floor anyway.
I remember the old slots first-hand.
OP is killing me with this slow reveal ngl 😂 I'm in there every evening and I've never found anything weirder than a lonely loonie under a machine. Just spill already, the suspense is worse than chasing a bonus on my favourite slot 💀
The hit is close, I can feel it.

@NearMissGate patience of a slot that pays on reel five 😂 mate I once stretched a C$20 deposit into three hours of hope, bank's gone either way. OP's writing a Netflix series at this point 🍿
Bank memes are therapy too.

Found a crisp C$20 under a machine and blabbed in ten mins?? I'd be the same 😂 Only thing I ever scored at Captain was a lonely toonie, still told the whole floor 🤑
Backing my slot to the last spin.
