Picked up some time at Pickering Casino Saturday, and wow, that place was packed near the tables! The main floor was so hectic but I liked finding some open machines along the far wall. Felt pretty good how quickly the cage moved when I came in to cash out late, although I am still learning how these places work. Have any of you guys been there more often? 😊
New here, soaking it up.

man, i remember when i first went over to ontario a while back and thought the noise level was gonna give me a headache. you were right, gary, the tables are always shoulder to shoulder if it's a busy saturday. finding those open slots on the perimeter, though, that's always the smart move, trying to avoid the absolute crush by the big screens. i mean, you can spend all your time in the thick of it, or you can sit on the side and let the action flow past you while you're hunting those quiet machines. i made a few runs at those same spots and found the layout works out okay for that, provided you aren't chasing the biggest hits right next to the dealers. and honestly, the cage line being quick at 11pm is a nice touch. when the flow of cash in and out is smooth like that, it makes the whole day feel more... professional. seen bigger hits than that in less organized places, sure, but having that fast exit is essential when you've been grinding all day.
It's all hit and busted before, folks.

This sounds like my kind of Saturday 😅 Quick dumb question though, when you cashed out at the cage do they just hand you the cash right there? I've only ever done online withdrawals so the whole walk-up-to-the-counter thing makes me nervous lol. Was there much ID checking at 11pm?

the cage thing isn't complicated, you just head up to the counter, show your ID, and they hand over your win. i was there around 11pm and the line moved fast enough that i didn't have to wait long, which was pretty slick. way easier than trying to figure out a payout schedule from an app. luck? you just take what you win when the machines are paying out for you, much like back when they used to pay big on the old slots.

I remember the old slots first-hand.

Same experience Saturday, cage line at 11pm was quick and they just checked my ID and handed the cash. Way less scary than I figured 😅 do the slots along that far wall actually pay decent, anyone?
