Regent Casino left me underwhelmed, would anyone else agree?
ah the old slow cage trick on a dead night, that never changes eh. I remember turning 50 into 5k at a floor half that size years ago, so a smaller room doesn't bother me much, cramped can still pay. But if the line's three people and the cashier's moving like it's a Saturday rush, that tells you everything about the place. Give it one more go on a busier night before you write it off 😉
Busted more than you've deposited 😉
Quiet night and a slow cage, that's the part that'd tilt me more than the small floor honestly. Walked out with a hit myself once where cashing out in time was everything, and standing there watching the one clerk count out chips at 11 pm kills the buzz. Small room can still pay, Vancouver is right about that, but if the cage drags on a dead Tuesday I'm not rushing back either. 💸
Right? One clerk on a quiet night makes no sense 😅 did they at least count your chips fast or was it the full slow shuffle?
Asking dumb bonus questions — that's the job.
I cashed out at a cage like that once and the clerk basically counted at funeral pace while I stood there sweating. If the floor's small AND the cage crawls on a dead night, that's two strikes for me. Cramped can still pay like Vancouver says, but slow can cost you the win buzz entirely. Did you at least hit anything before the walkout?
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.
Honestly the slow cage part sounds worse than the small floor to me 😅 like what's the excuse with one clerk at 11pm on a quiet night, there's literally nothing else going on. I'm still new to all this but I figured cashing out at the cage would be the easy fun part lol. Maybe the floor felt smaller because there was nobody there to give it any energy?

sam, the cage is supposed to be the fun part, yeah, the little victory lap 😄 my own theory is quiet nights are exactly when they run a skeleton crew, one clerk, and she takes her sweet time because nobody's pushing her. small floor never bothered me much, half the old rooms I loved were shoeboxes, but a draggy cash out at 11pm will flatten a good night right quick.
It's all hit and busted before, folks.
I'll take the slow cage over a small floor any day, personally. A cramped room with old machines can still surprise you, I've seen the saddest little floors pay out like Santa. But dragging your feet at the cage on a quiet night, that's just bad manners. Greed got me into the building, a touch of respect should get me out the door with my winnings, eh 😉
I remember the old slots first-hand.
been through this cycle before myself, the slow cage on a quiet night, eh. funny thing is the old slots used to hit different and the old cages paid quicker too, guess only one of those got worse. still, if I cash out at 11 and I'm out the door for a Timmies before midnight I call that a decent night, underwhelming floor or not 😄
