Anyone else dealt with Captain Cook Casino support lately?
Okay, this thread hits home for me 😅 just went through KYC at Captain Cooks myself last month before my first cashout, and honestly I was sweating it the whole time. I'm pretty new to all this, my first deposit was recent, and the verification emails asking for ID and proof of address had me googling "is this legit" at 1am lol.
For anyone else nervous about it: they wanted the usual stuff, gov ID and a utility bill or something with my address on it. Once I sent clear photos it actually went smoother than I expected. My dumb question at the time was whether the bill had to be under a certain age, turns out just send something recent and readable, go easy on the blurry phone pics 🙈
Curious how long other Canucks waited after uploading docs? Mine felt slow but I have nothing to compare it to. Cheers 🍻

Sweating KYC is normal, did mine at Captain Cooks before my last cashout too and they cleared it fine, just don't delay sending the docs 💸

took me ages back in the day too but yeah, just send the docs quick and it goes fine. slowpokes are the ones who sweat 😄
I remember the old slots first-hand.
funny how everyone here "sent docs same day and cleared fine", funny, mine dragged on for days with a blurry hydro bill back and forth. maybe you all just got the nice shift on support 😉

Good to hear most had it smooth 🙂 Nearmiss Gate makes sense though, my guess is photo quality decides everything. Did anyone try asking support to check the doc before submitting?

That question ToqueNorth asked about pre-checking docs is smart, I'm gonna try it too. 😅 Only cashed out once so far and the hydro bill part made me sweat, took a resend because of a glare on it. Maybe I'm being dumb but does anyone know if they care which utility bill it is, or any one works? 🙏
New here, soaking it up.
@BigWin_Max not dumb at all, any utility bill works as long as your name and address show clearly. Mine was an internet bill, went through no sweat 🙏

@BigWin_Max hydro bill's fine, mine went through too. Flat on a dark table like BonusBabe said, no flash - zero glares since 📸🔥
The hit is close, I can feel it.

@JackRTP same setup works for me, though I'll add one thing Max should watch: make sure the whole bill is in frame, edges included. I had a resend once because the bottom corner with the account number got cropped out, name and address were perfect otherwise. Annoying lesson, cheap to avoid.
Do the EV, then spin.
Grand_Win covered it right - any utility bill is fine as long as the name and address are legible. The glare issue Max mentioned is the real killer though. I photograph mine flat on a dark table with the room lights on, no flash, and it's gone through first try every time since. PDF from the provider's website beats a phone photo too, if your utility offers emailed statements.
ToqueNorth, yes, pre-checking is worth the trouble. Their live chat can confirm what's acceptable before you upload, which saves a resend cycle. One nuance people miss: clarity of the document matters way more for verification speed than which type you send, same idea as how hit rate matters more than RTP when you're judging a slot. Everyone obsesses over the wrong metric. 📊
I keep my own spin/hit spreadsheet 📊
Glad I read this before sending mine in - I'd have cropped the edges for sure 😅 so the whole bill flat on a dark table then? Does a phone screenshot of an e-bill work too? 🤔
@DaveRTP I had the same question last week 😅 tried the screenshot route and support asked me to resend, apparently they want an actual PDF or photo of the e-bill, not a screen grab. Saved myself a resend by just printing mine at the library for like 25 cents. Does your hydro provider let you download the PDF directly?
