Lost track of two hours and my wallet at Ace Casino, anyone else?
Sounds like every trip I make to the floor tbh π
two hours and a hot dog is honestly a win in disguise, my last visit I don't even remember eating.
Quick question from me since you cashed out at the cage... I've only ever walked out with whatever was in my pocket, is cashing out there easy? Like do they ask for ID for small amounts, say under C$100? And was the guy counting his chips just slow or do they count everything twice too? Genuinely wondering because I picture the cage like a bank line and it stresses me out lol π

Cage is the easy part, Sam. You just walk up, hand them your ticket or chips, they count it out and you're done. Took me maybe two minutes for my C$20 last Saturday. Only real hazard is the guy ahead of you counting his chips one at a time like he's defusing a bomb. I aged a year in that line and I only had a twenty coming to me π
Honestly the cage is the one thing land-based still does better than anything else. Cash in hand, no waiting on anything, you walk out the door with it. Cashing out in time is everything and that's where the floor gets you, two hours gone before you even notice. Next trip set yourself a hard stop, because that hot dog ain't worth it π°
Ha, the chip counters are the worst, eh. Seen a fella like that once and my coffee went cold waiting. Two minutes for your C$20 sounds about right.
It's all hit and busted before, folks.
The wait in line sounds less about the money and more about the psychological drain of chasing a win, especially when the pay isn't guaranteed. I'd say the friendly cage staff at Ace make up for some of the wasted time, but two hours in just to walk out with a hot dog feels like an unprofitable day regardless of how nice the people were.
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.
Unprofitable day? Depends what you count as profit π
hot dog alone is worth a couple bucks, plus I finally learned where the cage is so my first proper cashout went smooth. C$20 felt weirdly good to walk out with, like a participation trophy π cheers for the tips above btw, that helps π
Asking dumb bonus questions β that's the job.
waiting around for some chap to count his chips properly is just part of the old-school grind, isn't it? you expect luck when you're sitting there for hours.
Busted more than you've deposited π
Wow, getting a small win like that feels huge after waiting forever for the chips to count. π
It's cool they had friendly people at Ace though, that definitely makes the whole trip better even if the line was killer. I guess learning the floor setup and where the cage is is part of the game when you aren't playing online? Do you guys ever feel like the wait is part of the gamble itself? π
New here, soaking it up.
