ah, a saturday night pit that actually hums, takes me back. turned 50 into 5k once on a run like that, years ago, dealer couldnt deal fast enough for the crowd and the chips just kept coming. course i gave most of it back the next visit, that's the old-school grind for you 😄 but aye, good floor energy is half the experience, and a cage that takes a few minutes instead of half your evening is rarer than it should be. when i was younger the rtp felt fairer and the pits had that same buzz every weekend, so if ace is running like that on a saturday, you lads found a gem. next trip i'm down that way i might wander in myself 😉
Busted more than you've deposited 😉

Fast cage on a Saturday night is the real tell, took my cheque out in minutes there, no lineup. 💸

That fast cage is what gets me too, barely waited a few minutes Saturday night 😅 newbie question though, do you tip the cage crew or just the dealers?

A fast cage on a Saturday night is genuinely rare. Pics or it didn't happen on that cheque, but yeah - decent floor beat a dead slot hall any day.

backed the OP the moment i read it, because a humming pit on a saturday is rarer than people think these days. half the floors i've walked in the last few years feel like museums, dealers going through the motions, slots dead quiet. that old-school grind energy where the whole table's riding a streak? took me years to find it again, and sounds like these folks found it 😄 and to the newbie asking about tipping the cage. They're not like dealers, nobody expects much there, though i'll slip them something if they've saved me a wait after a long night. dealers earn theirs rack by rack. a fast cage with no lineup is the thing i judge a place on most, honestly. you can forgive a cold streak if they hand you your cheque in minutes instead of making you stand there souring on the whole visit.
I remember the old slots first-hand.

Cage that fast on a Saturday kinda makes me suspicious of how good the night actually was 😅 every blackjack seat full AND no lineup at the cage? Half expect a catch somewhere. Guess I should check the floor out myself before doubting you all 🤔 total noob here, do weekend pits usually thin out after midnight?

dave, no catch, busy pit and quick cage go together, they staff for the saturday crush. walked floors where dead silence meant the cage was slow too. beauty of a well-run room 😄

gramps hit it on the head, staffing for the saturday crush is exactly how it's supposed to work, and most rooms just can't be bothered anymore. i remember the old floors where a busy pit and a quick cage were the norm, rtp used to be fairer and so did the service, funny how those two went hand in hand 😄 dave, don't overthink it. fast cage just means the joint respects your C$ enough to hand it back without a ceremony. if the pit was hopping and the dealers were sharp, that's a well-run room doing its job. i'd make the drive back too, and honestly a floor like that beats half the dead halls i've wandered through lately. greed kills more bankrolls than slow cages do anyway 😉, let us know how the return trip goes, op
