Is Ace Casino really worth the hype?
That cage line on a Saturday night sounds brutal 😅 nothing kills a decent win like waiting 40 minutes to cash out. Was the table pit at least busy enough to have some energy, or dead everywhere? I've only been to the local spots in my area and the cage has always been quick, so a slow one would annoy me too tbh 🙈

the floor had a bit of energy near the tables but nothing that'd make you forget the cage, eh. that line Saturday night was the real story, stood there watching my little win get old before I ever reached the window. cramped floor plus slow cage is a bad combo, one of them you can forgive, both together and the whole night sours.
been through this cycle before, honestly. the old spots around here used to hit different, floor was roomy, cage moved like they actually wanted you back. I walked out of Ace thinking the hype is mostly people remembering other places. give it another shot on a weeknight maybe, that's when I'll judge it properly 😉

Not a dumb question at all, mate, the cage pays you cash right there, cash in hand for anything small to mid-size, and only bigger wins might get you a cheque or a slip to sort out. So the money's real and immediate, which makes that slow Saturday line even more of a slap in the face 😄 turned a tidy little cash-out into a queue test once for me, and I tell you, standing there counting floor tiles while your win goes cold is no fun.

@VancouverLocal416 good to know the cage actually hands over cash same visit, but a cashier paying C$200 and a cashier paying out a C$5k hit are two different stories. If anyone here cleared a bigger win by cheque there, how long did it actually take to arrive? I'll believe the hype when someone posts the paid slip, not before.
