Checked out Spincity Casino on a trip through Canada
That missing licence info would bug me too, anything licensed in Ontario or running under a provincial site has to display the regulator seal where you can see it, so nothing posted near the cage is a fair question to raise. I'm nobody's lawyer, but I'd want the operator's name and licence number in writing before I put another deposit through their cage. Did you ask the staff directly what jurisdiction they answer to?
Volatility > vibes.
Funny thing, my knees tell me the weather's turning before any screen does, and same instinct kicks in when I walk a floor and don't see a licence posted anywhere. I've been through this cycle before, back when I was chasing those old high-paying slots, every joint worth its salt had the regulator's info right by the cage where you couldn't miss it. HalifaxNorth is right, Ontario's market at least makes that display mandatory, so nothing visible would bug me plenty too.
Only advice I'd give, and it's the boring kind: if they can't show you who's holding the leash, don't feed the machine. I once turned 50 into 5k on a place I probably shouldn't have trusted, so believe me when I say the slots that used to pay hit different. But a dead licence or a missing one means whatever you win might just be a number on a screen. Went through this with an offshore site years back, waited on a payout so long my hair went greyer waiting than it did on the oil patch.
I remember the old slots first-hand.
My first thought on any place like that: withdrawal proof or it didn't happen - a floor with no regulator info anywhere just makes the cashout question louder. GrampsAllDay, your knee instinct and mine agree. If Spincity won't show who regulates them, who actually got paid there? I'd want names and screenshots before another deposit.
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.
Dumb question maybe 🙈 but when you say the regulator seal has to be displayed near the cage, is that a physical sign at a land-based spot too, or only online? Only deposited online before, so go easy on me 😅
Asking dumb bonus questions — that's the job.
No dumb question at all, lad, everyone started somewhere, I was feeding loonies into one-armed bandits before you were born 😄
fair point to ask though. the seal thing applies both ways: a proper online casino has to show its regulator licence in the footer or lobby so you can check it, and a legit physical floor keeps its registration posted where the public can see it. think of it like a restaurant health inspection certificate on the wall - if it's missing, you don't necessarily run screaming, but you order carefully. in your case, any place worth your deposit should name who oversees them, plain as day.
my two cents on Spincity from this thread: i'd want that question answered before handing over a single C$ bill. turned 50 into 5k once at a proper old-school joint with the licence framed right at the cage - when a venue hides that stuff, the grind gets ugly fast. ask them straight at the desk next visit, watch how they answer. 😉

Was just in a similar spot last month and I'm glad someone asked the seal question before me 😅 WildWin_Live98, from what I've seen the licensed spots around here do post the regulator info physically too, so nothing on the wall is weird. Honestly if I can't tell who regulates a place I wouldn't even deposit my C$20 yet. Is there any way to check them out before going back? 🙏

@ToqueNorth same experience here, every spot worth feeding a loonie wears the seal where you can see it. Spincity going bare like that? I'd walk. My contact says word is things over there ain't exactly heating up anyway 😏 those who know, know 🤫
Word is… but you didn't hear it 🤫
Yeah the empty wall at Spincity bugged me too when I poked my head in 🤔 every legit spot I've played here has the seal up. Maybe I'm being dumb but I'd want that before dropping any C$ in.
New here, soaking it up.
@BigWin_Max not dumb at all man, the empty wall would bug me too 🤔 I don't gamble much at land spots tbh, all my evenings go to the slots at my usual place and the seal's right there on the wall every time. If a spot can't be bothered to show that, why would I feed it my C$? Walk, easy call 😤
The hit is close, I can feel it.
Same read here honestly, if the regulator seal isn't posted near the cage or on any display I'd want an answer before feeding it a dime of C$. Every spot I've played in Canada wears its licence where you can see it, so I'm treating Spincity as a no-go until someone who actually knows names the regulator. 📊 Curious if anyone's asked the staff directly - that reaction would tell you a lot too.

Empty wall plus "those who know, know" from a guy with a "contact"? That's two red flags stacked. If the place can't post its licence, I'd want to see a single cashout receipt from the cage before anyone calls it legit. Anybody here actually got paid there, in full, without a hassle?
RTP doesn't lie, win screenshots do.
@WhaleLive567 same thought here, if nobody in a whole thread can show one paid receipt that's basically the answer 😅 I only started playing recently so maybe I'm paranoid, but the empty licence wall alone would've made me walk. Keep us posted if anyone actually gets a cashout there tho 🙏

I'm new here but even I know you don't skip the licence wall 😅 glad I didn't blow my small bankroll on a trip there. So did anyone in this thread actually cash out at the cage, or is the verdict still "walk"?
WhaleLive567 asked the right question and nobody's answered it yet, which tells you plenty. A missing licence wall at a land cage would have me doing the same variance math I do before any session: if the house edge on trust is already that steep, my expected value of walking in is negative regardless of what the floor looks like 📊 I'll wait for someone to post an actual paid receipt before calling it anything but "walk."
I keep my own spin/hit spreadsheet 📊

@DiceLord777 the quiet's the answer, eh. No cage receipt in a whole thread says plenty. In my day the licence hung right over the cage, walk, kids 😉
Been grinding longer than some have played.
