Went to Elements on a Saturday too a while back and honestly the same thing hit me, the slot bank right at the entrance was shoulder to shoulder, and if you walked all the way to the back the tables were basically half dead. 😅 I figured it's just easier for people to plop down at the first machine they see instead of trekking to the pit, plus minimums at the tables probably scare off casual folks on a weekend.
Total noob here so maybe I'm reading it wrong, but does the crowd split like that most nights, or was that Saturday just weird? Curious if table players show up later in the evening 🤔

funny thing, dave, that split you saw at elements is the same everywhere now. turned a C$50 buy-in into a few grand once on the old reel slots back when the pits still ruled the floor, and even then the slots crowd was growing. these days folks want their own machine, their own pace, no dealer watching them think out loud 😄
mind you, i still like a half-empty table pit. elbow room, patient dealers, and the cage line's usually shorter by the time the slot bank near the door is three deep. their loss, our quiet corner, eh.

no worries kid, we all started somewhere 😄 reel slots are the old mechanical ones, three spinning reels with actual symbols on them, cherries, sevens, bars. no touchscreens, no bonus rounds, no flashy animations. you dropped your coins in and either the machine paid or it ate your money honest. today's cabinets are basically video games dressed up as slots, with screens doing all the work.
what NearMissGate is getting at is the vibe shift he saw at that elements trip, same thing i've watched for years. back when those old reels still ruled, the table pit was the loud part of the floor, dice flying, dealers working the crowd. now you walk in on a saturday and it's packed ten deep at the entrance slot bank while the back half of the room is quiet enough to hear yourself lose. turned C$50 into C$5k on one of those old three-reelers once, and i've busted plenty since, greed always collects its debt eventually 😉

But I'm at Elements a few nights a week and honestly the front bank's been kind to me, hit big last night on my favourite there and walked out way up 🤑🤑 not gonna pretend I know the RTP numbers, I just chase the feeling lol. Entrance slots packed for a reason eh, that's where the action always is 🔥🎰
Back pit being dead though? Can't argue, wandered back there once and it felt like a library. Some of us like the noise...
