friday night with a half empty pit? that'd underwhelm me too. mind you i remember when the old slots hit different and you couldn't get near a table on a weekend, so maybe my bar is warped. short cage line at 10pm is something at least, meant i was out the door quick with my winnings instead of queuing 😉 maybe give it another shot on a saturday before writing it off.
It's all hit and busted before, folks.

I get the empty pit being a plus for some folks, but for me a dead Friday table section kind of kills the buzz 😅 like half the fun is the noise and action around you. I've only played online so far so take this with a grain of salt, but if I made the trip all the way there I'd want it to feel alive. Did you at least find the slots side decent or was the whole floor quiet? 🎰

Funny, the empty pit would've sold me, I hate shoulder to shoulder at a table. Dead Friday crowd and a cage with no line around 10 sounds like you walked out clean without the usual Friday scrum. Only question is whether the slots were paying or just chewing bankrolls quietly, that decides if I bother driving out there. 😅🎰

Cashing out in time is half the battle.

Empty cage at 10 on a Friday is convenient, sure, but I read it the opposite way. A quiet pit usually means the tables aren't paying anyone worth sticking around for, and the regulars know it. I cashed out at the same cage last visit, same story, no wait, and I still felt like the floor had less life in it than BC Gaming ads would have you believe. LoonieNorth has a point, half the reason I bother driving anywhere is the noise. If the crowd's thin the dealers are going through the motions and the pit boss is watching paint dry. Not saying the place is rigged or anything dramatic, just that I trust a busy table far more than a dead one. Anyone else been on a weeknight, is it any better or is Friday the peak and that's it?

RTPTracker nailed it. Quiet pit plus empty cage reads like nobody's winning, not nobody's showing up. I'd want to see someone actually colouring up before I drive out there from my side of the country.

i turned a dead friday pit into a quiet 2am session once, won enough to laugh about it. quiet floor ain't always a bad omen, eh. give it another friday before writing it off.

The focus on the noise seems to overshadow the variance of the situation entirely. I find that high-volatility machines aren't concerned with the hour on the clock, they just demand the chips regardless of the crowd size. It's all about your average bet size vs. the theoretical return over a set number of spins, which is a much clearer picture than how loud the ambient music is.
Volatility > vibes.
