Alright that layout actually sounds great, tables in the middle with slots on the ring means I can wander the pokies without squeezing past a packed pit πŸ˜… only land casino I've been to was rushed and cramped so this is tempting. Quick question though, was the cage busy for a long wait or literally a couple minutes even Saturday? πŸ™

That ring layout is underrated honestly. Most floors funnel you straight through the pit no matter where you're headed, so being able to lap the pokies without crossing a busy pit is a real bankroll saver for me, no table dealers waving me over every pass 🎰 Cage speed on a Saturday night is the part I care about most though. Nothing worse than hitting a decent one and then standing in line sweating while the machine money sits there. I did a full loop of the slots last weekend, barely touched the middle, and getting paid at the cage took minutes. Would've dropped way more if the walk back to the door dragged. Cashing out in time is everything and that place doesn't fight you on it πŸ’Έ

ha, that ring layout gets me too, though I'll say the flip side. walking laps around the pokies with nothing pulling you over is nice for the discipline, but I've had good nights where being funneled past the pit is what got me a seat and a comeback. cage was quick for me too on a saturday, no complaints there πŸ˜„
It's all hit and busted before, folks.

Honestly my discipline dies the second a dealer waves me over, so that ring layout might've saved me a fortune πŸ˜‚ walked it fine, walked it fine, then one seat opened and boom, bank's gone. Cage was quick though, that bit I appreciated 🀣

Never even thought about the layout thing until this thread πŸ˜… I've only been inside a casino once with my cousin and I got stuck wandering past the tables every time I wanted a different machine, so a ring of pokies sounds like a dream. And quick cage on a Saturday night? That's the part I'd stress about most πŸ™Œ

Ring layout saving bankrolls? that's a new one on me, I turned 50 into 5k once precisely because a dealer waved me over on the way to the machines πŸ˜„ you lads act like walking past the pit is quicksand. Cage being quick on a Saturday night though, that I'll tip my hat to, rare as a loonie on the sidewalk these days.
Busted more than you've deposited πŸ˜‰

Honestly the cage being quick on a Saturday is the part that sold me, lineups at the cage can kill a good night πŸ˜… but VancouverLocal has a point, maybe getting pulled into a pit isn't the worst thing sometimes lol. Anyone know if the table minimums stay sane late night? πŸ™

Does anyone else feel like the pit pull scenario described is just pure statistical variance? On a small spin sample, that wild run of luck only occurs because the expected value of your time there was already deeply negative. If the goal is maintaining bankroll integrity, avoiding the pit is the more prudent risk management strategy.
Volatility > vibes.

@Fire_888 mate you're overthinking a fun night out lol. Nobody sits down at a table doing EV math, they sit down cause the dealer's good company and the vibe's right. Variance swings both ways and I'll take my chances on a hot run every time πŸ”₯🎰

@Fire_888 sure, one lucky run is variance, nobody's arguing the math. But that EV of your time matters less when you're up and actually walking to the cage with it. I got burned chasing a hot shoe last month and the lesson stuck: cashing out in time is everything. A good pit pull just speeds up the variance either way πŸ˜…
