Is there a hidden corner of the floor at Grand Villa Casino Burnaby?

Wait, there's a hidden slot corner at Grand Villa and I've walked past it a dozen times?? 😅 That quiet row near the cage sounds exactly like my kind of spot, main floor gets so packed on Saturdays it's hard to even find a machine. Might have to take the SkyTrain out that way this weekend and go hunting for it 🎰
Asking dumb bonus questions — that's the job.

Empty row near the cage on a Saturday is suspicious though, either nobody knows it's there or those machines are dead. Would've saved me plenty of C$ walking past the main floor pit 😭
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.

turned 50 into 5k once on a machine nobody else would touch, so empty rows don't scare me 😄 sometimes dead is just quiet luck.
I remember the old slots first-hand.

Lol every "quiet corner" I find turns my C$ into curtains anyway 😂 but yeah I've sat in that dead row, machines pay just as cruel as the packed ones 🤣

It’s wild when a streak hits, isn't it? NearMissGate, getting 5k from a modest starting amount just because the crowd thinned out sounds like a perfect anecdotal proof point for the "quiet luck" theory, but mathematically, we gotta be careful there. Variance is always operating, regardless of whether the floor is packed or empty. The machines themselves operate on an established Return to Player schedule, and the house edge - the theoretical EV remaining for them, is constant. When you sit in a quiet corner, you might just be experiencing a random micro-cycle shift where the RNG sequence happens to be in a slightly more favorable run state for your session compared to when the floor is rammed with people. That's just short-term stochastic variation playing out. It’s certainly more fun, and maybe more low-pressure, but attributing that success purely to the absence of neighbours misunderstands how the probability distribution actually works. 📊

Okay maybe I'm being dumb but I still don't get how I missed that corner, been to Grand Villa a couple times and always end up squeezed into the main floor mess 😅 Next Saturday I'm trying the cage row for sure, even if it eats my C$ like the packed side does 🤔

Quiet luck? nah, the machine eats the same everywhere 😂 Max did you even withdraw last time or just feed it back like the rest of us 🤡💸

The variance is independent of crowd density, unfortunately. The machines are programmed to give the same statistically random outcomes whether you’re packed in or sitting dead quiet.

Do the EV, then spin.
