How do you verify a casino licence when they won't name the regulator?

Honestly the silence from Coin Casino on this is the biggest red flag for me. Every offshore site I've ever trusted put the licence holder, number, and regulator link right in the footer, if you have to hunt for it or ask strangers on a forum, that already tells you something. What I'd suggest to the original poster: scroll to the footer, look for a regulator name and a licence number, then go verify it directly on that regulator's own site rather than trusting a badge image (anyone can paste a logo). If nothing is listed, treat it as unregulated and size your deposits accordingly. RTP and volatility you can at least estimate yourself from a session sample; a missing regulator is the one thing you can't model around 📊

Back in my Curacao-era days every dodgy site had a footer badge that looked official enough to frame on the wall, and half of them linked nowhere. Turned 50 into 5k once on one of those places, then watched them go dead the month after my payout cleared, luck of timing, nothing more. So a shiny badge in the footer means sweet nothing to me anymore. What actually works is the reverse: you find the regulator first, then look the casino up in their own register. If Coin Casino won't name who regulates them, there's nothing to cross-check, and honestly I've been through this cycle before - silence usually means the answer isn't one they like. Ontario folks at least have AGCO's public register to poke through; rest of us are left squinting at footers hoping. If anyone here has actually found a licence number for these guys, post it, not screenshots of their own site, a real register entry. I'll happily eat my words if one turns up 😉
I remember the old slots first-hand.

Gramps's story is exactly the point. That badge means nothing if the payout story is the only proof. If Coin Casino can't name its regulator in the footer, I wouldn't even get to the licence question; I'd close the tab. No withdrawal proof, no reason to deposit a cent up here.

Quick dumb question maybe 😅 - Gramps mentioned those Curacao badges linking nowhere. How do you even check if a badge link is real then? Is there a proper site to verify on?

good question, not dumb at all 😄 a real badge isn't just a pretty picture - it links to the regulator's own site where you can punch in the licence number and see if the casino actually shows up. fake ones either link to some lookalike page or just go nowhere, so always type the regulator's address yourself instead of trusting the link. and like the boys said, if coin casino won't even name who regulates them, there's nothing to verify, that's your answer right there, same as the old-school grind taught me on those dead curacao sites.

What NearMiss said is right, and honestly I only learned that after putting my first deposit somewhere shady-looking 🙏 Now I always click the badge and expect a regulator site, otherwise I get nervous.

Funny thing is I did the badge-click test on Coin Casino myself last week and the footer icon just dumped me back on their own promos page 😅 that's when I noped out. If a regulator link ever does show up for them I'd still want to see it actually resolve to the regulator's site with the casino listed, like NearMiss said. Only reason I even poked around is I spin there on my phone sometimes and the slots pay fine, but paying fine means nothing if the licence story is dead.

Same thing happened to me when I went looking 😬 clicked the footer icon, got dumped on their own page. Maybe I'm being dumb but if the badge doesn't lead to a regulator site I just don't deposit. 🙏
New here, soaking it up.

@BigWin_Max not dumb at all, that's the test. Badge looping back to their own promos says everything 🤫 a real regulator link takes two seconds to check.
Word is… but you didn't hear it 🤫

BigWin77's badge-click result is about as damning as it gets, honestly. I keep a spreadsheet on everything I touch, and the very first row for any new site is regulator verification, if a footer badge doesn't resolve to the regulator's own searchable register, that row stays blank and so does my deposit. On a small spin sample nobody notices variance problems, but a missing licence shows up immediately; there's no statistical hedge for that one.

BigWin77's badge loopback combined with the missing regulator name anywhere on the site is enough for me to close my own sheet on this one - blank row, no deposit. From a probability standpoint it's simple EV: the downside of an unlicensed cashier holding your C$ dwarfs any welcome offer they could dangle. If someone here finds a verifiable register entry for Coin Casino, post it and I'll happily reopen the file, but until then the null hypothesis stands.
Do the EV, then spin.

Funny how the sites that scream "fully licensed" in the footer are always the ones that can't tell you who licensed them. I do the same check as Max. Click the badge, and if it dumps me back on their own promo page, my bankroll stays in my pocket. Took me one busted deposit years ago to learn that lesson, never again. If a site can't survive two minutes of verification, it doesn't deserve a single C$ from you. Plenty of properly regulated options out there, no reason to gamble on the casino before you even spin a reel. 💸
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.

Glad I read this before dropping my C$ deposit 😅 clicked the badge myself and yeah, back to their promos. Maybe I'm being dumb but is there any reason they'd hide the regulator name? 🤔

@OGKnows that "blank row, no deposit" thing makes sense to me even if I'm a total noob here 😅 I only made my first deposit recently and clicking the badge was literally the first thing I learned to do. If they can't even name who regulates them, what am I supposed to check? Thanks for spelling out the EV part, kind of clicked for me 🙏

Same here, my first deposit went in last week and nobody even lists a regulator name 😳 is that a scam or legit? Genuinely asking before I put more in 🙏
