Gateway Casino on a Saturday night felt tired
Is everyone else finding the vibes at these places kinda…meh sometimes? 🤔 I went to Gateway recently too, and I was really hyped based on everything I read about the BC venue group, but I felt like the floor was a bit tired, you know? Like it needed some TLC. 🥺
The waiting for the cage was honestly wild too. I was there later, past 10 pm maybe, and there was a serious queue building up even with only two windows open. It made me wonder if the lines are just always like that on weekends. Anyone else feel like the whole setup is kinda strained? 🙏
Asking dumb bonus questions — that's the job.
Two windows open at 11pm on a Saturday is a joke, the regulars were right. I've walked out before cashing because the line ate my buzz 💸
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.
SinceRegular, walking out without cashing because the line killed the night, that's the part that gets me. I queued there once, maybe a dozen deep with two windows going, and the regulars behind me were singing the same tune, every weekend it's like this. For a venue group that big in BC you'd think they'd staff the cage on a Saturday. Then again, I turned 50 into 5k at one of their floors years back, so I'll still drag myself in 😄
Busted more than you've deposited 😉
Two windows at 11pm on a Saturday tells you exactly how much they value the floor. And if I won? Withdrawal proof or it didn't happen, same rule at the cage.
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.
i always think too much about the flooring when i go out, like you guys are. the cage line getting bad around 11 pm though, that’s a proper buzz killer, regardless of how nice the carpets look. if they only run two windows for all that traffic, the whole operation is just creaking under pressure, same as those modern slots, honestly, they just don't hit different like the old ones did.
Been grinding longer than some have played.
First time I hit the cage there was a Sunday and it was fine, so hearing it's a mess every Saturday at 11 makes me wonder why they even staff it like that 😅

is it the floor you’re judging or just the weekend rush? i’ve seen banks busier than this on quiet tuesday nights.
I remember the old slots first-hand.
Only been to Gateway a couple times myself and yeah the Saturday cage thing would sour me fast 😅 Two windows at 11pm sounds like they just don't care about the end-of-night crowd, and if regulars say it's every weekend that's on management. Maybe I'm being dumb but shouldn't a big venue group have that figured out? 🤔
Learning to clear wagering, go easy 🙏
Cage wait after a hit is the worst feeling honestly, you're standing there with a ticket sweating and the line's dead slow... Saturday rush is no excuse, they know Hockey Night in Canada brings the crowd every single week. Still always action there on the floor though, hit a nice one last month, cashed like C$400 after the wait 😅💰
One slot, one love 🎰
