The cage being quick with no hassle is honestly the part I care about most πŸ˜… I've only ever cashed out online so walking up to a cage sounds kinda nerve wracking, good to hear they're friendly about it. Busy but not cramped floor is a big plus too, is parking decent or was it a packed lot?

Cage speed is nice, sure, but a quick payout at a land venue is the bare minimum. They hand you cash over a counter, there's no withdrawal queue or pending status to hide behind. If a physical cage took an hour to pay me in person I'd be calling someone. Went myself a while back and yeah, the floor was busy without feeling sardine-canned, which is more than I can say for some spots I've walked into. Slots there ran cold for me most of the night, so I'm not writing home about the "solid night" part personally. Anyone else find the machines near the entrance tighter than the ones deeper in, or is that just my luck talking?

RTPTracker, fair point, the cage paying you in person is the bare minimum, I'll give you that. Though I've seen enough floors over the years to know "quick and friendly" isn't guaranteed everywhere. Some places make you feel like you're asking for a favour just to cash a ticket. Turned 50 into 5k once back in the day on the old-school reel slots, and the walk to that cage felt longer than the session. So when a venue does it with no fuss, I notice πŸ˜„ WildWin_Live98, don't sweat the cage, it's easier than it sounds. You hand over your ticket or chips, they count it out, done. Kinda nice actually, holding real money again instead of watching a balance number. Didn't clock the parking situation myself but the floor being busy without being cramped tells me they manage the crowd okay. Worth the drive if you're nearby, I'd say.
I remember the old slots first-hand.

Okay dumb question from a total noob here πŸ˜… when you guys say cash a ticket at the cage, do you literally walk up with the printed slip from the machine and they count out the cash? I've only ever hit the cash out button and taken the ticket to the... hmm, actually never done it in person. Was at Mohawk myself a while back and the floor was busy but nobody bumping elbows, so that part checks out for me too. Just worried I'll stand there holding a ticket like an idiot not knowing which line to join πŸ˜‚

No dumb question at all, kid, we all started somewhere πŸ˜„ yeah that's exactly it, the machine spits out a printed ticket with your balance on it and you walk it to the cage, they run it through, count the cash into your hand. First time I did it decades back my hands were shaking a bit, turned 50 into 5k that night and thought I'd invented the wheel. At Mohawk it was the same drill, no fuss, friendly counter staff, done in a couple minutes.

Winnipeg87's question reminds me, first time I did that walk with a ticket in hand I hovered by the cage like I was about to rob the place. Anyway, my own night out there lined up with the OP: floor was busy but you could actually move between machines without doing the sideways shuffle, and the cashier had me counted out and gone before I finished checking the ticket twice. Agree with RTPTracker that paying in person is the floor, but these days the floor itself is above average.

That first walk to the cage with a ticket in hand feels weird for everyone, Winnipeg87, it passes after the second visit. NearMissGate's point lands with me though, plenty of floors I've been on treat cashing out like a queue at the DMV. I keep a session log on my phone and the difference in wait times between venues is honestly one of the variables I track πŸ“Š
Volatility > vibes.

Good to hear, thinking of making the drive myself now πŸ˜„ the friendly cage bit is what sells me. Cheers for the writeup!

Friendly cage is nice till you hand the ticket over and watch it turn into less cash than you remember loading in πŸ˜‚ been there plenty of times myself. Still worth the drive for a night out mind you, just go in knowing the house collects in the end. Anyone get a win on paper there yet? Right, but did they let you withdraw? πŸ€‘πŸ’Έ
A paper win won't feed you.
