Never been to Extreme myself so go easy on me if this sounds dumb 😅 my checklist is basically the cage hours, ID for the cashier verification, and assuming any floor ATM will eat my card and die. Do they let you take photos of the floor or is that a no-go? Also curious if anyone knows if they comp parking downtown or you're on your own 🙏

Photos on the floor, from what I've seen ask the staff first, some places don't mind, others get twitchy about it. Only thing I'd add to your list, kid: set your loss limit before you walk in the door. I turned 50 into 5k once back on the old reel machines, then gave half of it back chasing, the floor has a way of doing that to you 😉
I remember the old slots first-hand.

Agree with Gramps on the loss limit, I write mine down before I leave the house, because willpower at the floor is a myth. WildWin, one thing I'd add: budget in cash only, leave the debit card in the truck. And yes, always ask staff about photos before pulling the phone out, saves you an awkward chat with a supervisor. 📊
Volatility > vibes.

Sorry if this is a dumb question 😅 but what's KYC at the cashier actually involve, just my ID, or do they want proof of address too? Still learning this stuff 🙏

Grand_Win, nothing dumb about asking. KYC is just them confirming you're you: flash your government ID at the cashier and they verify your name and age before paying out, same as the bank teller checking your cheque. Usually that's all it takes on the floor, though some cages might want a second piece if you're cashing something big. I got burned once walking in without my wallet and turned 50 into 5k... on paper only, couldn't touch it till I drove home for my licence 😄 never again.
I remember the old slots first-hand.

Honestly the one thing I'd tack on: scope out the floor layout first, find where your favourite slots are before you get sucked into whatever's near the entrance 😅 walked past a bank of dead machines last month and the good paying ones were tucked way at the back, found out after I'd blown my loonies already 💰🎰

NearMissGate nailed the KYC part, though I'd add one thing from experience: bring a second piece. Last time I cashed out at a floor cage they wanted my ID plus a card with my name on it before they'd count out the cheque. Annoying, but better than walking out empty. And HalifaxNorth is right about the debit card staying in the truck, but I'd go further: decide your C$ limit before you leave Oshawa and take exactly that in cash. If you win, fine, but "no payout, no proof" applies to your own discipline too. Everyone swears they'd walk away up, nobody does it on the floor. Tilt_Truther's tip about the layout is solid as well; the dead machines near the entrance aren't there by accident.
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.

MaxBet's right about the second piece, saved my bacon at a floor cage once. Also set your session bankroll before you walk in - cashing out in time is everything 🎰

@NearMissEnjoyer the bankroll advice is great in theory 😂 I set one last month, hit it in 40 mins, then told myself "one more spin" and my session turned into a donation to the casino again. My trick now is leaving the debit card at the cage basically, only walk in with the cash I can cry about losing. 🤣
Bank memes are therapy too.

@PoutineHQ been there, hit my limit then "one more spin" me straight into a donation too 😭 now I bring cash only, debit stays in the truck. Cashing out in time is everything 💸

@Provably24 the cash-only trick is smart, might steal that 🙈 so when you actually hit a payout, do you cash out same visit or wait? Still learning this stuff, go easy on me 😅
Learning to clear wagering, go easy 🙏

@DiceLordHunter no worries kid, we all started somewhere 😄 cash out same visit, every time, that's the rule I learned the hard way. Turned 50 into 5k once back on the old slots - those ones hit different, I'll tell ya, and walked out with it same night because my gut said don't push it. The times I "waited for one more session"? Busted most of them. That payout isn't yours till it's in your hand at the cage. One trick: decide your cashout number BEFORE you sit down, and when the machine shows it, stand up even if your legs don't want to. The old-school grind only works if you actually bank the wins 😉
Been grinding longer than some have played.

Second piece of ID tip is solid, saved me a headache at a cage in Niagara once, they wanted my driver's licence plus a credit card before counting anything out. My caveat: ask upfront what the cage takes for payout verification, some want the player's card too. And got a cashout screenshot habit from the online crowd doesn't apply here, so keep your ticket stubs until the money's actually in your hand.
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.

Okay wait, so the two-piece ID thing just clicked for me 🙏 gonna stuff my licence plus a card in my pocket now. Do you get paid in cash or cheque at these cages eh?

Checklist won't matter much, the cage pays out fine when they let you win 😏 PoutineHQ's "donation" is how it always ends anyway 🤡💸

Cash or cheque at the cage, eh — took me back a bit 😄 last time I took a proper payout they counted it out in bills, and honestly standing there watching the machine tick through the C$ was half the fun. Cheque they'll offer if it's chunky, but ask and see. Toque, cash only trick like Provably24 says is the real vet move. I turned 50 into 5k once doing the old-school grind, walked out the same hour, didn't touch the wallet again. The one-more-spin tax gets us all eventually though, PoutineHQ, I've paid it more times than I'd admit to the wife 😉
Busted more than you've deposited 😉

@Toque_Local checklist's exactly for the "one more spin" guy though 😭 discipline wins long-term, even if a session ends in a donation. Locked-in cashout math beats vibes every time.
