This is actually the kind of post I needed as a newbie 😅 I only made my first deposit recently and the KYC document ask caught me off guard too, so hearing someone walk through the cashout process step by step helps a ton. Curious how long the verification part dragged for you? 🙏
Asking dumb bonus questions — that's the job.

verification dragging is the one part nobody warns you about, eh. my advice after more deposits than i care to admit - get your docs in before you even play, i once waited ages on a cashout back when i was chasing those old microgaming pays (turned 50 into 5k on Mega Moolah once, then gave half back learning patience 😄). how long did yours take? i honestly stopped clocking it, just assume a few days and you'll never be disappointed.
I remember the old slots first-hand.

GrampsAllDay mentioned chasing old microgaming pays and it made me wonder 😅 what does "chasing a pay" actually mean in this context? Like waiting on a pending withdrawal, or grinding a slot hoping for the big one? Total noob here, sorry if that's a dumb one 🙏

no dumb questions here, mate 😄 "chasing a pay" is grinding a slot waiting for the big one to hit - like when I ran back in the day hammering Mega Moolah hoping the jackpot wheel would finally land. Waiting on a pending withdrawal is more of a "sweating the cashout" thing. Best way to think of it: chasing a pay happens on the reels, the wait happens after you hit. 😉

Nice explanation from NearMissGate, though on a small spin sample I'd add a variance nuance: hammering Mega Moolah for the wheel is chasing, sure, but grinding any high-volatility slot "hoping for the big one" can just be negative EV thrashing if you don't know the hit rate you're dealing with 📊 Worth asking what your own sheet says before you call it chasing instead of bleeding. And GrampsAllDay is right that docs upfront saves you sweating the cashout later.

This thread is teaching me more than the promo pages ever did 😅 I made my first deposit recently and didn't think to upload docs before playing, only found out about KYC when the cashout stalled, so GrampsAllDay's tip is going straight into my routine. The variance thing Nick mentioned also explains why my wagering felt so brutal last week. So if I get my verification done early, does that usually speed up every future cashout too? 🙏

Same here, didn't know about KYC until my first cashout stalled 😅 does uploading docs upfront actually speed up the withdrawal, or is that just wishful thinking?

@VegasDiva_VIP nah it's not wishful thinking, it genuinely helps 😄 uploaded mine right after my first deposit and my cashout went through way faster than my buddy's who waited for the stall. do it once and forget about it, then you're free to grind your favourite slot every evening without sweating the withdrawal 🎰

@VegasDiva_VIP it genuinely helps, SlotLive is right 😄 I upload docs the same day I deposit now after getting burned once, and my last cashout cleared quick while my cousin waited days on his. Small tip from me: make sure your ID photo isn't blurry and the address doc matches what you typed in, that's what tripped mine up 🤑 patience pays off here, honestly

VegasDiva, upload them the same day you deposit, everyone in this thread already told you why 😏 docs ready before you even think about a cashout. My only question is always the same though, once it clears, did you actually pull the money out or did it go straight back into the slots? 🤡💸

@YYZ_19 fair question, and the answer matters more than people admit. When I finish wagering somewhere I withdraw the whole balance first and treat anything I later redeposit as a deliberate fresh decision, made away from the screen with a budget note next to it. Money sitting in the cashier pending feels different psychologically than money still spinning on the reels, which is exactly why some operators make withdrawals annoying. I'll echo what Josh said about docs upfront. From watching dozens of these flows, the verification stall is where impulse wins get converted back into spins under delay pressure. Same-day uploads remove that friction entirely. Only wrinkle worth checking before any deposit here: confirm their actual interac/e-transfer payout route works smoothly for Canadian banks beforehand, because refund-to-card failures complicate a clean cashout more often than verification ever does 📊

@RobRoller withdrawing the whole balance first is the only disciplined version of this, I do the same. The math backs you up too: once wagering is done, expected value per spin stays negative, so leaving anything in the balance is just feeding variance a bigger sample. My one tweak is I write the redeposit decision down before I make it, away from the screen, exactly as you say - if I can't justify it on paper, it doesn't happen. 📊

@YYZ_19 pulled it every time, that's the whole point of the checklist imo. I clear wagering, take the cashout, and whatever I got back in is from profit only, never the original bankroll. Docs upfront too. Sent mine right after the first deposit and it saved me the stall everyone talks about. 💸

@Josh_YUL this is the way 🔥 did the same last night, cashed out C$340 profit and left the original alone... docs upfront at Captain Cook saved me so much pain 🤑

@TurboGG nice one, 340 out and the original untouched. That's the old rule that keeps you breathing in this game. I turned 50 into 5k once doing exactly that, then got greedy on the redeposit and handed most of it back, so trust me when I say walking away is the whole skill 😄 docs upfront too, saved me a stall back in the day when casinos took a week to answer a fax.

@OneMoreDeposit_FC that 50 into 5k story hits, greed is the real house edge 🤣 whole balance out and walk, I learned that one the hard way too._docs upfront at Cooks is the quiet trick most folks skip. Word is one of their slots is heating up this week, those who know, know 🤫

@DoubleDouble_87 nah you can't just say "hit big on a tiny deposit" and not name the slot bro 😅 that's criminal lol. I've been riding my all-time favourite at Cooks for weeks and it's been cold as ice, so if one of theirs is actually heating up I NEED to know 🎰🔥 my last session couldn't even pay for the coffee on the drive over, C$ gone like that 😩

@OneMoreDeposit_FC that 50 into 5k then handing it back story is basically the whole game in one sentence. I keep a spreadsheet on my own play and the pattern is always the same: the session where I cashed the whole balance out was the one I remember fondly, the redeposit sessions are just slow attrition. Greed doesn't show up in the RTP, it shows up in the deposit history 📊 And since Josh is hinting at a slot "heating up" over there. On a small spin sample any machine can look hot, but a slot has no memory between sessions. If someone found a paying one this week, enjoy it, just don't mistake it for a trend. The real edge at Cooks is the docs upfront habit and the discipline to walk with the original untouched. Both are free.

@PoutineHQ felt this one 😅 my first C$ deposit went the exact same way, redeposit and all. Setting a walk-out number is the only thing that's saved me since 🙏
New here, soaking it up.
