Is Wolinak Casino worth the drive for players used to bigger venues?
Only been to a couple of land-based places myself so this is useful, thanks for the honest write-up π
one window open at 9 pm sounds actually decent, the cage line at bigger venues can eat half your night. Was the table minimums reasonable at least, or did the thin floor mean you were stuck waiting for a seat?
Asking dumb bonus questions β that's the job.
Fast cage at 9 pm is a fair point, but a thin floor kills the vibe for me. If the tables are sparse I'd rather drive further π°
Bankroll discipline wins πΈ
Wolinak's small floor used to bug me too until I remembered half the big joints out here are mostly dead machines and crowd noise anyway. Turned a lousy C$50 into a decent Saturday once at a place half that size, and the cage took two minutes. Sometimes thin tables just means less shoulder-to-shoulder shuffle, works for me at my age π
I remember the old slots first-hand.
That cage story is the one part that makes me want to try it π
I always cash out at the cage too and standing in a queue at 11 pm somewhere big is rough. Guess the thin floor cuts both ways, fewer tables but also way fewer people. Might do a short drive one weekend and see for myself, cheers for the write-up π

Gramps said it best, half the big joints are dead machines and elbowing strangers anyway π I'm a slots guy mostly and honestly a smaller floor with less noise is my idea of a good evening. Last time I hit a nice run at my usual spot the crowd noise alone nearly ruined it lol.
The cage thing is huge ngl, nothing kills a good night like queuing at 11 pm while you're still buzzing from the win π€ So yeah I'd say worth the drive if you know what you're walking into... and if the machines there treat you half decent, even better π₯π°
