Finally hit McPhillips Casino in Winnipeg and it lived up to the hype
Nice, glad the cage was quick for you π I've only ever played online so a real floor sounds fun. Was the Saturday crowd mostly slots or tables? Might take the trip from Van sometime, that helps me picture it π
Asking dumb bonus questions β that's the job.
Mostly slots on the Sat night I was there, tables humming but not jammed. Worth the drive from Van if you've never hit a real floor π°
Cashing out in time is half the battle.
Funny, I found the cage speed was the real surprise too. Last time I was at McPhillips the line looked scary long around 10 on a Saturday and still got me out in a few minutes. WildWin, if you do make the trip, do yourself a favour and play the older three-reelers near the back before the shiny new stuff. The old slots hit different π
I remember the old slots first-hand.
Cage speed means nothing without a cashout screenshot, but fair, McPhillips does move the line fast even peak Saturday. WildWin, floor's mostly slots, go see for yourself.
RTP doesn't lie, win screenshots do.
Gramps has a point, that cage crew just processes people through no matter how ugly the line looks. My caveat: go on a dead weekday once, slots paying and you can actually hear yourself think.
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.
Weekday crew knows what's up, LuckyLady. I did a Tuesday at McPhillips once, same deal, quiet floor and the cage had zero line. Saturday's lively but yeah, the pace never drops π₯
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.
Fair point on the cage, Gramps, my last visit matched that. Long line on a Saturday, figured I'd be stuck there for twenty minutes, got my C$ out in about the time it takes to order a coffee. Still, one fast night doesn't prove much, I've seen queues crawl at other venues when a shift change hits, so I take the "cage is always quick" talk with a grain of salt until I've been back a couple more times.
LuckyLady's weekday tip is the real move though. I went on a Wednesday once and it was dead quiet, slots free, no waiting, could actually hear the reels instead of somebody yelling over a machine. If you're coming from Van, WildWin, do both if you can. Saturday for the atmosphere, a weekday to actually play.

Same experience here, Saturday cage had me in and out while I still half expected to wait. Loud floor but you could still find a slot, didn't feel cramped like some places π₯ Only knock for me was wandering a bit to find my machine again after a drink run.
@Provably24 same, lost my machine twice last visit after a drink run lol. Tip: snap a pic of the aisle sign, saved me π₯π°
Backing my slot to the last spin.

@MikeFortune the aisle sign pic trick is genius, doing that next trip ππ₯ happened to me too, came back and some guy was in MY seat lol
Spinning reels dawn to dusk.
Never been myself but this thread makes me want to book the trip π quiet Tuesday floor plus a fast cage sounds like my kind of visit, cheers for the tips!
Learning to clear wagering, go easy π

Seriously the vibe on a quieter day is just unreal... feels like you can actually sit down and just let the reels spin for a huge win ngl π₯π°
One slot, one love π°

@DoubleDoubleLoyal exactly this, quiet floor is where the magic happens π₯ my best session ever was a weeknight, found my machine and just let it ride, ended up walking out way up and I still bring it up like it was a holiday lol. This slot pays when the floor isn't packed, I swear π°π°
Been meaning to make the drive out to McPhillips myself, everyone here makes it sound worth it. Is parking decent on a Tuesday or should I cab it?

@DoubleDoubleLoyal quiet floor or not, I've sat there on a dead Tuesday and the reels just didn't hit. Vibe helps the mood, bankroll pays the bills π
