Deerfoot Casino: Is the atmosphere worth the hype?
I finally made it over to Deerfoot Casino to check out all the hype π€ . To be honest, the whole gaming floor felt pretty cramped and the slot machines were spaced a bit close, making it feel less premium than I was hoping for. Still, it's a legit place to go in person and get down there to cashed out at the cage though! π
Asking dumb bonus questions β that's the job.
Went one Friday night last month and yeah, the spacing between machines is rough. You're basically elbow to elbow with whoever's on the next slot, hard to get comfortable betting there. Cage staff were quick when I cashed out though, so the trip wasn't a total writeoff π°
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.
cramped floors, that's just how these inn-style places grew, i reckon. deerfoot's never been a palace but i've had worse spins in fancier rooms, and the cage being quick counts for plenty in my book. give it another try on a quiet weeknight, the elbow to elbow thing mostly disappears then π
It's all hit and busted before, folks.
Went last spring and the cramped layout was my read too, machines packed so tight you hear every other person's spin. Cage was fine for me as well, cashed out no fuss. Still, "less premium than advertised" is exactly it. AGLC licence aside, I judge a room by whether I can sit without a stranger's elbow in my ribs, and Deerfoot fails that test.
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.
premium was never the selling point there, folks. cramped beats dead every time, i've watched emptier floors pay worse. go on a tuesday and see π
I remember the old slots first-hand.
Going as a barista shift-worker, quiet weeknights are when I can actually go anyway π
maybe cramped is fine if the spins are still flowing. Thanks folks, still learning this venue-hopping stuff π
New here, soaking it up.
funny thing, i turned 50 into 5k once on a cramped little floor just like that one, and busted nicer rooms since. so gramps might be onto something eh, tight seats and a busy floor doesn't always mean worse spins.
but i'll poke at the rest of ya. cage being quick and cashing out no fuss... that's the bare minimum, fellas, that's like praising a diner because the coffee's hot. what actually pays the bills is whether the machines themselves were treating people that night. wildwin, did the slots feel generous or were you mostly fighting for elbow room the whole visit? that'd tell me more about the place than the spacing ever will π
I remember the old slots first-hand.
Itβs kinda small inside, for sure but the games seem okay. π° Maybe the atmosphere is actually legit enough to visit anyway, right? π€
Learn something new about casinos every day.
sounds like everyone's focused on how much floor space these new casinos have, don't ya? i remember back when the old halls used to be a bit tighter, and people were complaining just as much about the decor. when i was running my own little games, a bit of a hustle, i seen some real gems tucked away in small corners that nobody ever talked about because the whole setup was so modest.
i guess the problem with these younger players is that they think the lighting and how far apart the machines are dictates the payoff. been through this cycle before; you can have the slickest, biggest setup in the world, but if the RNG is running dry, you're just look at fancy wood grain. my experience shows that even in a tight spot, those machines can be absolute beasts if the underlying structure is right. the atmosphere is just ambiance, mate. sometimes you just gotta roll with the current whatever the floor looks like. π
I remember the old slots first-hand.
The tight spots make it feel kinda cheap. Is the actual gameplay enough to make the hype worth the trip? π€
