Anyone else get a weird vibe from Capitaine Cook Casino before
Kinda glad someone made this thread because I got the same odd feeling checking them out last week 😅 Haven't dropped a loonie there yet. No idea who actually licences them or how long cashouts take, which bugs me more than anything. Does anyone have hands-on experience with their KYC or their wagering rules, or should I just keep spinning elsewhere while waiting? Cheers 🙏
Asking dumb bonus questions — that's the job.
turned 50 into 5k once on the old-school grind back when a bonus actually paid, and I still wouldn't touch a place I can't find a licence for 😄 you're smart to hold off, kid. if their KYC and cashout rules aren't written somewhere plain as day, that's your answer right there. no loonie goes in until they show their papers, simple as.
I remember the old slots first-hand.
NearMissGate nailed the core point, honestly. If I can't find a licence and plain-language cashout rules before the first deposit, my spreadsheet doesn't even open for that casino, there's nothing to calculate yet. On a small spin sample you can convince yourself anything is fine, but variance doesn't care which site holds your C$50 while you're waiting on a withdrawal you can't predict. WildWin, you're right to sit on it. Before I ever fund an account my checklist is boring: regulator named clearly, KYC steps spelled out up front, wagering terms written so a human can read them. Capitaine Cook fails at least two of those checks as far as anyone here can tell, and that's exactly the kind of gap that shows up later as a rollover surprise. 📊 Hold your loonies until someone posts an actual cashout report.
Volatility > vibes.
Good question, no shame in asking. Cashout rules = the terms that say how you actually get your money back: what hoops you jump through, when it's allowed. Rollover/wagering is the bonus part - say you take a C$100 bonus, the rollover number tells you how much you gotta spin through before any of it's cashable. On Capitaine Cook that's exactly the blank spot — nobody here has seen their wagering terms written plainly, and a place that hides that stuff... well, the old slots hit different, but fine print has always been fine print.

Grand_Win asked exactly what I was gonna ask 😅 so both pages count then? Maybe I'm being dumb but that's the part I'd want readable before dropping anything 🙏
New here, soaking it up.
Honestly, both pages count, and I'd go further: if the withdrawal terms read like they were written by a lawyer who hates you, that's data too. The bonus rollover is where the real EV hides. A fat welcome package with brutal wagering can be worse value than a plain deposit. RTP I can measure on my own sheet; buried cashout conditions I can't, and that's what should make anyone pause here.
Volatility > vibes.
@HalifaxNorth this is fair tbh, rollover kills more bankrolls than the games do lol. I only ever take bonuses where the wagering is right there in two clicks... buried terms = dip 🙏
Backing my slot to the last spin.
Yeah same vibe here 😅 couldn't even find their wagering terms without digging, so I held off. If I can't see the rollover in two minutes, I'm out. Anyone actually cashed out from them? 🙏
@VoidedWinVictim same rule here, if the rollover isn't up front I don't even bother loading the account. Had a bonus once where the terms were buried three pages deep and the max bet per spin clause basically ate my C$50 before I cleared anything. A plain deposit at a boring wagering rate beats a fat package you can never cash out 💸
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.

@BonusBuy_Merchant that max bet clause is brutal, had a near-miss myself years back, was one spin from clearing rollover before I actually read the cap and nearly torched the whole thing. Now I don't touch a bonus unless the terms sit right on the promo page 💸 if it's buried three deep, that's them betting you won't read it 😭

@BonusBuy_Merchant exactly why I skip their promos now tbh 😤 buried terms plus a sketchy main-site vibe = hard pass, just load up my regular spot instead, that slot PAYS whenever it wants 🔰🎰 ah well... $20 buy-in spins beat fighting fine print any night
Honestly I've just learned bonuses from this thread 😅 if the rollover page is confusing I dip. Is their wagering info even easy to find anywhere?

@VoidedWinVictim the max bet clause is the one that gets people, honestly. A guy I do spreadsheet sessions with took a bonus at some offshore site years back, cleared most of the rollover, then one C$5 spin over the cap voided the whole thing. Buried terms did that, not variance.
The way I look at it: the rollover size matters less than where it's written. If a site hides its wagering terms, that tells you how they'll behave when you actually have a withdrawal pending. And for the newbies asking if the math matters. It does, but only after you can read it. Buried terms means you can't even compute your EV on the bonus, so the two-click rule is really a "can I model this at all" rule in disguise. 📊

Wait, so a single spin over the max bet can void everything?? Maybe I'm being dumb but is that cap usually written right in the bonus terms? 🙈 Thanks for the warning, still learning bonuses lol
Learning to clear wagering, go easy 🙏

@RngGod_Chaser not dumb at all, that cap is in the T&Cs but they bury it deep, and yeah one over-max spin can nuke the whole bonus and any winnings from it. My rule now: read the terms before opting in, then set my bet per spin well under the cap so I can't fat-finger it mid-session. Cleared a C$200 rollover last month doing exactly that, no drama. 💸

@RngGod_Chaser not dumb at all mate, it's usually right in the bonus T&Cs, just buried in tiny print. Read every line before opting in, learned that one the hard way lol 🙈🎰
@Paul_Win hard way lesson here too, voided a decent hit years back because I bumped my bet per spin a loonie over the cap mid-bonus, didn't even notice. Now I keep a screenshot of the T&Cs on my phone before I opt in. Cashing out in time is everything but reading the fine print is step one 💸

@Provably24 a loonie over the cap, that hurts lol 😅 I screenshot everything too, saved my bacon on a big hit last spring, cashed out C$1,400 no drama. But honestly my spot's been clean with me every time, this slot pays 🎰🤑

@Paul_Win same pain here lol, my favourite spot's promos are clean though - always action there, no fine print hunting 🔥🎰 stick to what pays, that's my rule now 🤑
Screenshot of the T&Cs before opting in, that's actually smart 😅 Lost a bit on a bonus once and had no proof of anything. Does anyone else do that for every promo or just the sketchy ones? 🙈
every promo, diva. learned that habit back when rtp used to be fairer and they still found ways to wiggle out of paying me 😄 screenshots saved my bacon more than once.

@BonusBuy_Regret "clean promos, no fine print" is what I said about my last bonus, then my bank's gone 😂 screenshot everything, folks, trust nobody 🤣
Bank memes are therapy too.
