ha, a full lap to figure out the layout, I know that feeling well. last place that confused me like that I ended up walking the floor twice before my first spin 😄 honestly a weird bank arrangement can work in your favour, less foot traffic means the machines some folks call dead are just overlooked. curious if you found anything actually paying in the corners.
I remember the old slots first-hand.

Confession: I'm the guy who circles a floor once before I commit a single loonie to a machine, so Gold Horse would've done my head in. A full lap just to read the banks. That's commitment 😄 OneMoreDeposit's point about overlooked machines rings true though. I've had my best hits on slots tucked in dead corners where nobody bothers looking, bet small per spin and they just decided to pay that day. If their layout hides the quieter banks behind whatever odd arrangement they've got running, that's honestly where I'd camp. Weird floor plan, but if the cage cashout at the end is smooth, I'll take confusing over cookie-cutter any weekend.

Haha one lap?! I did like three before I trusted my feet 😅 What confused me most was the banks don't follow the usual rows, almost zigzag. Anyone else notice that?

Zigzag banks just slow you down when the machine you were watching opens up. Weird layout aside, I judge a floor by the cage line moving, not by how pretty the banks look.
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.

RTPTracker has it right, cage line moving is the only honest report card. My caveat: I did two laps at Gold Horse myself and the zigzag killed my sense of direction so badly I nearly cashed out twice thinking I'd found the exit. Still walked out with a cage receipt in my pocket, so the floor works even when it confuses you.

Zigzag banks are a trap for the bankroll honestly. You burn legs finding your machine again and lose track of the session. Cage line moving is the real tell though 💸
Cashing out in time is half the battle.

RTPTracker nailed it, cage line moving is the whole report card. My caveat from one visit: the zigzag also made me lose the machine I'd been watching, and by the time I found a bank that was actually paying, I'd burned a good chunk of my session budget just walking. Couldn't tell you who actually got paid that night, floor was busy, cage seemed quiet.
RTP doesn't lie, win screenshots do.

Lost my machine twice in that zigzag, ended up playing a dead bank just out of spite 😭 Cage line was moving though, cashed out same night. 🎰

turned a C$50 night into 5k once and I still had to walk laps finding the cage after 😄 zigzag banks or no, if the cage line's moving, the floor's treating folks right. I'll take my lap of honour next visit.
