Heads-up before you trek out to the Nugget Casino
Two windows open on a Saturday night is the part that would finish me off - you finally get a hit on the floor and then stand in a queue watching your winnings feel further away by the minute. On a small spin sample my patience lasts about ten minutes, then I start doing the math on how much that wait is costing me in energy. Did they at least keep the floor itself humming, or was it dead on the machines too?

Two windows on a saturday night, that's just poor housekeeping if you ask me. I once turned C$50 into 5k at an old-school grind joint and still remember queueing forever at the cage, sour taste kills a good night quicker than losing does. If the floor's decent they should respect the cashout, eh? Otherwise folks just take their playing elsewhere next time 😉
Busted more than you've deposited 😉
Funny how the cage is where they show their true colours. Two windows on a Saturday is a choice, and it's telling — they'll staff the floor fine but drag their feet when you want your money out. If a place gimps the cashout, I take that as a warning sign about everything else. OP, did anyone at the cage give a reason or just shrug?
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.
Quick maybe-dumb question 🙈, is there any best time to hit the cage to cash out, like does going earlier in the evening usually mean shorter lines? First time I cashed out in person was this year and I had no clue it could get that backed up 😅 Thanks Steve and VancouverLocal for spelling it out, cheers 🙏
Learning to clear wagering, go easy 🙏
Not a dumb question at all, eh - the cage works like a bank teller lineup, and saturday nights are when everyone clocks out at once and cashes their chips, so the queue balloons. Rule of thumb: cash out earlier in the evening or mid-week when the floor's quieter, or if you hit big late, grab a coffee and settle in. I've stood in those lines more times than I care to remember 😄
I remember the old slots first-hand.
what works for me is cashing out mid-evening, like before the last rush - hit the cage right after a decent run instead of letting it ride till close. turned 50 into 5k once and learned the hard way that the longer you hover, the more the house sucks it back 😄 old rule: greed emptied more pockets than the slots ever did. if two windows is all they run on a saturday, i'd be planning my exit earlier too.
I remember the old slots first-hand.
Ok that greed line hit me hard 😅 I cashed out small at the Nugget once and the line was fine that time, but after reading this I'm def cashing mid-evening next trip instead of hovering at a slot till close. That helps a lot, cheers 👍
Asking dumb bonus questions — that's the job.
OneMoreDeposit's mid-evening cashout habit is the same rule I follow, and WildWin you're smart to adopt it, hit rate on the floor doesn't matter if you give the variance time to claw a win back while you hover. The two-window Saturday setup at the Nugget is honestly the deciding factor for me; floor was fine, but I won't plan return trips around a cage that backs up like that. Worth one more visit off-peak, though, before writing it off entirely.
