Good heads up, thanks 😅 I honestly thought Chances was a proper casino the first time I heard the name, then my buddy took me to the one near us and it's basically slots with a little table corner tucked off to the side. Fun enough for a weeknight though, I put a few spins in on the pokies and didn't feel ripped off. One thing that actually surprised me: cashing out at the cage was quick, like no line, guy counts it, done, you walk. That alone makes it worth the trip for me 😄 But yeah if anyone's expecting a Vegas floor with tables everywhere, go easy on yourselves, it's a community gaming centre, keep it in mind before you drive out 🙌
Asking dumb bonus questions — that's the job.

Same experience at our spot up Island way. Slots carry the whole floor and the tables are more of an afterthought than a destination. Went in with a modest bankroll on a Friday, ground through a bunch of spins on the community centre side of things, never really got a hit worth talking about, but the machines weren't dead either. Just low-key. Vegas energy this is not, and nobody should walk in expecting it. One thing I'll vouch for: cage cashout was painless. Walked up, ticket in, cheque-equivalent cash in hand, done in a couple minutes. For a bonus hunter like me that matters more than a fancy buffet, a quick cage means you can bank a win when it shows instead of waiting around watching it evaporate. I treat these BC community centres as a session stop, not a night out. If I want tables and a show, that's a different trip with a different budget. 💸

Provably24, sounds like our Fridays went about the same 😄 I turned a C$50 into a few hundred at one of these community centres a while back, but that was on the slots carrying the floor, not the sad little table corner. My advice to the new folks wandering in expecting Vegas: know what you're walking into and the place treats you fine - cage cashed me out quick and no fuss.
Busted more than you've deposited 😉

Fair warning OP, though I'd add the one part nobody hypes: the cage. Walked out of my local Chances with a modest cashout and it was paid quick, no rigmarole, which is more than I can say for some bigger halls. Table corner being an afterthought doesn't bother me. Slots carry those floors anyway. Just go in knowing it's a neighbourhood spot, and keep your receipt as proof you actually cashed.
Cashout screenshot or it didn't happen.

Funny how nobody mentions what these community centres actually used to be like - half the halls out here a couple decades back were smoke, two rows of machines and a coffee urn, so honestly the "slots with a table corner" setup reads as a step up to me 😄 MaxBetLife247, quick cage payout is no small thing though, I'll give you that. I've been through this cycle before where you wait at a busy cage in a big hall long enough to talk yourself into walking it back to the floor, and we all know how that story ends. Greed's a hungry dog, always has been. Small floor means short lines, and slots carrying the joint means the machines that used to pay fairer are the ones getting the volume. I'd temper expectations for anyone dreaming Vegas, sure, but for a Friday night spin without the circus? These places do the job fine, the tables being an afterthought doesn't hurt my feelings one bit 😉
I remember the old slots first-hand.

Honestly the small floor kinda works for me 😄 went to my local Chances for the first time last month expecting way worse and the quick cage payout sold me more than any table game would have. I'm still new to all this so maybe I don't know what I'm missing, but walking out with actual cash in hand same night beats a fancy Vegas-style lobby imo 🙏 thanks for the heads up though!

Quick cage story every time eh 😄 I've walked out of bigger halls where the cage took longer than my drive home. Fair, those community centres do pay straight and the slots carry the floor. But let's not crown them yet, the old slots hit different and these modern ones can eat a C$50 before you blink. Still beats a dead Friday at home though.

Honestly the small floor is the draw for me, easier to find a machine you like instead of wandering forever 🙈 Still figuring out slots in general, but quick cage payout sounds great.

Back in my day a quick cage payout was just called a Tuesday 😄 folks act like fast cashout is some miracle feature when really it just means the place isn't drowning in bodies. Small floor suits me fine too though, reminds me of the old halls where you'd nurse the same machine for hours instead of sprinting between forty lookalikes. Just don't walk in expecting Vegas, that's all.
