Anyone else been to Betty Casino in Canada lately?
Total noob here so go easy on me 😅 but I'm actually curious about this one too. Haven't made the trip yet, been sticking to the local spots around Hamilton, but the reviews being all over the place makes me want someone to just tell me straight: is the floor decent on a Saturday or is it a sardine can?
Also dumb question maybe, but since it sits somewhere between the provincial sites and the Ontario regulated side… does anyone actually know which rules apply to a walk-in floor like that? Like for the cage and cashing out chips, is it same as any other casino or is there weird paperwork? Don't want to drive out and get surprised at the cage 🙃
Asking dumb bonus questions — that's the job.
Saturday floors are a crapshoot anywhere, honestly. For me it comes down to whether the payouts run, I'd rather grind a busy floor that's paying than an empty one that's dead. 💸
Cashing out in time is half the battle.

Payings or dead — yeah, that's the truth of it, I've busted more banks than you've deposited waiting on a cold floor to wake up 😉 turned 50 into 5k once on the old-school grind machines, took all night, but the floor was hot so I stayed. Saturday crowd matters less to me than whether the cage moves quick when you cash out; a lineup at midnight tells you more than any review. LoonieNorth, go on a weeknight first, way easier to read the place without elbows in your ribs.
I remember the old slots first-hand.
Half these "all over the place" reviews are hype from people who never cashed out. Post a cage receipt or a win photo with the ticket in it, otherwise it's advertising.

Been in a few Betty sessions myself, and honestly the cage was the part I paid attention to - queue moved fine midweek, but if the floor's paying on a Saturday everyone lines up for tickets at once, so cash out before the rush if you bank something decent. No clue which rules technically cover a floor like that with the Ontario market split, but the vibes on the weekend crowd are the usual sardine situation NearMissEnjoyer described 🎰
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.

@Bonus_God solid advice, and the Saturday rush point is worth underlining. I'd frame it this way: a ticket in your pocket has zero EV until it clears, your session doesn't end when the machine pays, it ends when the cashier does. 📊 Even a two-hour wait is variance you don't need to take.
Volatility > vibes.
Bonus_God has the right instinct about the cage - I'd go one further and ask whether the ticket actually cleared, because a queue story without a cashout screenshot is just a story. Same rule I apply to anyone hyping a hot Saturday floor: who actually got paid, and did they photograph the payout slip? Until I see a receipt, Betty stays on my maybe pile next to checking the blacklist first.

Funny, same thing happened to me at Betty on a Saturday, machine paid, and by the time I got near the cage the line was ugly. Now I cash the ticket the second it prints 💸. curious what the floor felt like to you guys midweek, was it worth the drive or one of those dead rooms that eats your bankroll quietly? 🎰

@Provably24 Saturday nights at Betty are a queue lottery, learned that one the hard way myself. Weekday evenings the cage is basically walk-up, which honestly changes the whole feel of the floor, I keep my session notes and even my hit timing looks cleaner midweek, though that's probably a variance nuance more than anything real. Either way, ticket straight to the cage, no exceptions 📊
I keep my own spin/hit spreadsheet 📊

@DiceLord777 same experience here, midweek cage is a breeze. Saturday wait while holding a payout is brutal. Every minute you're in line you're tempted to shove it back into a machine and donate it 😭 cashed a decent hit on a Tuesday night and walked straight out with it, best feeling. Weeknights at Betty all day.
Cashing out in time is half the battle.
@DiceLord777 your "hit timing looks cleaner midweek" is my favourite kind of session-notes cope 😂 the machine doesn't know what day it is, brother. Midweek cage being walk-up is real though, went on a Wednesday and the whole floor felt half asleep. Did you even withdraw Saturday, or did the queue eat it for you? 💸
The house always wins.
Honestly this thread taught me more than the reviews did 😅 I've only ever done the local spot near me so the whole ticket/cage thing is still new to me, didn't even know you should cash the ticket right away instead of sitting on it till the end of the night. Provably24 that tip alone probably saved someone a headache 🙏
Question for those who've been: is the floor dead midweek or does it still feel alive? And does anyone know how the cage handles a first-timer with ID, like is it a big deal or just walk up and get paid? Asking the dumb stuff so nobody else has to 😂 cheers for all the cage talk btw, that helps a lot 🎰

@WildWin_Live98 good lesson to learn cheap. i once sat on a ticket all night celebrating, cashed it fine, but mate of mine lost one in a jacket and ate it 😄 cage first, drinks after.
