How does the cage actually handle cashouts at Platinum Casino?
Hi all, first post here so go easy on me 😅
I actually wandered into the Platinum Casino floor here in Canada last weekend (just for fun, no online account or anything) and when I went to the cage to cash out I honestly froze for a second. Had no idea what to expect, do they ask for ID? Do you need a players card even if you never signed up? Maybe I'm being dumb but the whole thing felt way more formal than I imagined, the guy behind the glass was super deadpan with me lol.
So my question for folks who've done this: how does the cage actually handle cashouts in practice? Anything I should know before my next visit - paperwork, limits, how long you stand there waiting? Still learning the casino side of things, bonuses are confusing enough already 🙏
New here, soaking it up.
Did the cage thing at Platinum a while back, had a hit on the floor and walked up sweating a bit 😅 They just wanted photo ID, standard stuff, then counted out the cheque/cash and that was that. No drama. Bring your ID and don't cash out at peak hours, line gets long 💸
500x one day, zero the next. Classic.
SinceRegular nails it, ID's the whole show at the cage. Only thing I'd add for the newbie: keep your players card out of your pocket when you walk up, makes the paperwork go smoother, and they usually count the bills out in front of you twice. Watch 'em do it, no rush. I cashed a hit at a floor like that once after turning a small buy-in into a proper night's money, hands were shaking more than theirs were 😄
And Max, don't sweat the freeze-up, everyone does it the first time. Timing matters more than anything, middle of a Saturday night that line wraps around like the checkout at Superstore. Go early evening when the floor's dead and you'll be out with your cash in no time. The cage folks have seen bigger hits than whatever you're hauling up, trust me, they couldn't care less 😉
I remember the old slots first-hand.
Can confirm the double-count at the cage, watched them do it while I sweated 🤣 only time a "huge win" was real money and not just bonus balance lol
Double-count is real, I stood there like it was a magic trick 🤣 only caveat: I cashed out near closing once and the cage guy counted slower than my grandma doing a crossword 😂
ID and the double-count, got it - that helps a lot 🙏 haven't hit a cage yet myself but at least I won't freeze like Max did 😅 cheers!

Cage tip from me: cash out before you get hungry, went for a Timmies run mid-count once and nearly lost my spot in line 😭 slots don't wait, lineups do 🎰

Losing your spot in the cage lineup over a Timmies run is the most relatable thing I've read today 😅 does the cage hold your spot or is it first come back?

@BonusBuy_Merchant they won't hold your spot, first one back wins it 😄 i learned that the hard way once, turned a small cashout into a longer wait behind a whole tour group
Busted more than you've deposited 😉
So no spot-holding at all? Good to know before I ever queue up 😅 do they at least take your ticket in if you're next in line?
